From the iconic Tattersalls Arcade to the vibrant Park Road strip in Milton, our two locations are more than just barbershops. They’re destinations.

Founded by Australian Modern Barber Hall of Famer and American Crew All-Star Educator Mark Rabone, ESQUIRE is home to a team of multi-award-winning barbers, including three-time Australian Modern Barber of the Year Matt Clarke and multi-award winners Ryan Poole and Gianni Sollazzo.

With over two decades under our belt, we’ve been featured in leading publications nationwide and in 2024 were crowned Australian Modern Barber Business of the Year.

Described by Qantas’ Travel Insider as “administering Brisbane’s best beard love,” Mark Rabone is the barber who began it all. After years working in high-end UK barbershops, he brought his vision of a traditional, full-service grooming experience to Brisbane and founded Esquire Male Grooming in 2004. His commitment to classic craft, service, and atmosphere remains the foundation of Esquire’s reputation today.

As one of the owners and operators of Esquire Male Grooming, Matt Clarke combines industry-leading skill with a client-first approach. A three-time Australian Barber of the Year, American Crew Global Allstar, and Creative Director of 4B, he’s known for his modern, refined cutting style and personalised service. With over twelve years in the industry, Matt helps shape the Esquire experience—delivering sharp, confident looks and a consistently high standard of grooming.

RYAN

Ryan has been part of the Esquire team for seven years, working his way from apprentice to managing the Tattersall’s location. An award-winning barber, he claimed the AMBA Best Men’s Collection – Classic in 2023 and the AMBA BTS Crew award in 2025. He also represents Heiniger Australia and Vitaman Australia as an ambassador, proudly showcasing excellence in barbering both in-house and across the industry.

GIANNI

GIANNI

With over five years of experience, Gianni has already carved out an impressive career as a three-time national award winner. He specialises in classic, old-school cuts and traditional styling, blending timeless technique with a clean, modern finish. His dedication to the craft has taken him abroad to learn from some of the world’s leading educators, shaping his approach and refining the skills he brings to the Esquire floor today.

BRAYDEN

BRAYDEN

With nine years of industry experience, Brayden White is known for his precise, modern approach to men’s hair. He tailors every cut to the individual - no cookie-cutter work and absolutely no questionable hairlines on his watch. Outside the shop, Brayden is a passionate educator who shares his expertise across Australia and internationally, helping barbers lift their skills and confidence. When he’s not cutting or teaching, he’s in full-time dad mode at the park - pushing swings, chasing scooters, and pretending his knees don’t hurt.

Lachlan began his hair journey in 2018, starting out in a small Gold Coast salon before joining the Esquire team in 2022. Known for his clean, considered approach to cutting, he brings a calm confidence to the chair - proving you don’t need a full head of hair to deliver a great haircut. When he’s not in the shop, Lachlan is usually escaping to the water, the outdoors, or juggling uni life. And if you spot him at the pub, feel free to say hello - especially if you’re ready to debate his unwavering belief that the Suns are winning the flag next year.

Loz has been part of the Esquire team for almost two and a half years, making the leap from cocktail creator to completing her barbering apprenticeship with us. She’s taken to the craft with incredible momentum - her vibrant personality, can-do attitude, and rapidly growing skill set have already made her a highly sought-after stylist. Booking ahead is always a good idea. Fun, friendly, and full of energy, Loz spends her spare time playing Brazilian footvolley. Clients come for the cut and stay for the laughs.

HARRISON

HARRISON

With seven years of experience, Harrison brings a balanced blend of technical skill and creativity to the Esquire floor. He’s known for combining clean, precise fades with detailed scissor work, and he isn’t afraid to get playful with colour when the look calls for it. Outside the shop, Harrison can usually be found at the gym, working on his golf swing, or deep in conversation about just about any sport you throw at him.

With 23 years of experience as a Master Stylist and Barber, Lisa is a true all-rounder who has spent her career collecting, refining, and perfecting techniques across every corner of the industry. Known for her ability to bend the rules and push the boundaries of current trends, she creates bespoke looks that range from clean and classic to sharp and edgy. Over the years, Lisa has worked behind the chair just about everywhere, from humble neighbourhood barbershops to high-street salons and major industry events. Her depth of experience, adaptability, and creative eye make her an invaluable part of the Esquire team.

VIVIANA

VIVIANA

I’m Viviana, a barber with 8 years of experience and a real love for the craft. Originally from Italy, I spent a year backpacking before making Brisbane home 9 years ago. After running my own barber studio for 2.5 years, I realised I thrive in high-energy spaces and strong teams. I’m fired up to start this new chapter at Esquire, ready to push limits, grow fast, and work alongside some of the best in the game.

Our guests are welcomed with a complimentary drink on arrival, and finished with a refreshing citrus-infused hot towel and an open blade razor finish to the neck and edges. We also offer tailored skincare treatments by appointment.

The classic barbershop experience, redefined. Every cut is delivered with precision and intent, tailored to your individual style and routine. From long hair to sharp skin fades and timeless classics, we create looks that last beyond the chair.

BEARD TRIMS

More than maintenance: it’s beard artistry. We shape, sculpt and refine using clippers and razors to create a finish that frames your face and elevates your look.

FACE SHAVING

A modern take on a traditional ritual. Our straight blade shaves combine hot towels, premium products and expert technique for a close, smooth finish, and a moment of proper relaxation.

COLOURING

From subtle grey blending to bold tones, our colouring services are tailored for natural, seamless results. Delivered with discretion, precision and an eye for detail as standard, consultations available by request.

HOUSE RULES

We ask for a minimum of 12 hours’ notice for any cancellations or changes. Late changes may incur a 50% service fee.

Ongoing late cancellations or no-shows may result in future bookings being declined.

Please arrive on time (or a few minutes early) to ensure you receive your full service, and to keep things running smoothly for all clients.

All Saturday services are charged at full price, including (but not limited to) kids cuts, buzz cuts, and express services.
